Tim & Lindsey

April 24th, 2027

We're getting married! We couldn't be more excited to share this moment in our lives with our closest friends and family members. When we sat down to decide where we were going to have our wedding, there was one place that came to mind. Sea Island is a small island on the Georgia coast, right next to St. Simons Island and just north of the Florida-Georgia line. Lindsey's family has been vacationing there every summer since she was thirteen years old, and her dad's family spent time there during his childhood, making it a place filled with generations of memories. Tim has joined in over the last several years and now we both feel like it's a place that's ours. There is a certain magic in the sweltering Georgia summer sun, the sea turtle nests that hatch on the beach, the oak trees draped in Spanish moss, and that sweet Southern charm of everyone you meet. It's just not like anywhere else. To have it be the place we start our life together is a dream, and to get to share it with all of you would mean the world to us. We'll see you in Georgia.

Love, Tim & Lindsey

Accommodations

The Cloister

The primary room block for the wedding is at The Cloister, Sea Island's resort hotel. All wedding events will be on property and easily accessible if staying at The Cloister. Resort guests have full access to all of Sea Island's amenities including the Sea Island Beach Club, spa, fitness center, golf courses, tennis facilities, etc. The Cloister is a really special place and we would love to see you there!

To book, please call and ask for the Decker-Spichiger room block. This ensures that you get the room block rate! Booking through the website will not allow you to access our block. Rooms must be booked by March 8th, 2027 for use of the block rate, so please plan ahead! If you would like to extend your stay beyond the weekend, block pricing is available from April 21st to the 26th. You can book rooms for our weekend at any time, though if you plan to book for a longer stay outside the weekend those reservations will open one year in advance on April 23rd, 2026.

The Inn by Sea Island

An alternative hotel for guests is The Inn, which is located on St. Simons Island just a few minutes drive from the main resort property. Transportation will be provided from The Inn to all wedding events. Please note, guests at The Inn do not have access to Sea Island restaurants and resort amenities such as the beach club, golf courses, spa, etc.

Cottages at Sea Island

If you are interested in staying in a house, Sea Island does offer "cottage" rentals for homes located on the island. There is no room block or discounted rate for cottages. These can be booked through the official Sea Island website by following the link below. Cottage guests have access to full resort amenities if booked directly through Sea Island.

Airbnb & VRBOs

There are typically a handful of house rentals available on Airbnb and VRBO, both on St. Simons Island and on Sea Island itself. If booking through outside sites, access to resort amenities is typically not included. Some properties offer add-on resort access, but this varies. Review listings carefully if you are looking to have resort access.

Travel

Brunswick

Brunswick Golden Isles Airport (BQK) is the closest airport to Sea Island, an approximately 25 minute drive to the resort. All Brunswick flights come in daily through Atlanta via Delta.

Jacksonville

Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) is just over an hour south of Sea Island and has flights that come in from all over the country.

Savannah

Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) is located approximately 90 minutes north of Sea Island and similarly has flights from across the country.

Sea Island Activities

Beach Club

The Sea Island Beach Club has access to five miles of beach, plus three pools, beach bars, Hobie Cat sailboats, kayaks, paddleboards, and a water slide (Tim will definitely try to convince you to go down it). We also love just walking down the beach and catching glimpses of dolphins out in the ocean. Towels, chairs, and umbrellas provided.

Eat & Drink

Arguably one of our favorite things to do at Sea Island! We love dinner at Tavola or the Georgian Room, drinks at the River Bar or the Oak Room, and the can't-miss Goldbrick Sundae at Wonderland.

Golf

As host of the PGA Tour's RSM Classic, Sea Island has three great golf courses available to play. Seaside is Tim's favorite course! Golf is located at The Lodge, another Sea Island property on St. Simons. If you like a little less golf and a little more happy hour, you can also stop by the 18-hole putting course at The Lodge with a cocktail in hand from the Oak Room (Lindsey's favorite).

Sports

Tennis, pickleball, squash, shooting, horseback riding, bowling, fishing are all available. We also love to rent bikes at the beach club and ride around the island!

Spa & Fitness

The spa and fitness center are across the road from The Cloister and have just about everything you can think of, including a fully equipped gym, fitness classes, an indoor lap pool, sauna and steam rooms, and full spa and salon services.

St. Simons Island Activities

Eat & Drink

For lunch, stop by Southern Soul for the best BBQ in Georgia, or The Market for quick sandwiches to go. We like Sal's for pizza, and Del Sur for a really great dinner.

Shopping

Redfern Village is a favorite for boutique shopping. You can also check out Pier Village in the heart of St. Simons.

Beach

East Beach is popular public beach on St. Simons, also great for biking and fishing. See below for info on other nearby beaches!

Have Questions?

Ask away!

What will the weather be like?

At this time of year, high temperatures are typically in the mid-70s with lows in the 60s. You can anticipate pleasant weather that allows for plenty of outdoor activities and hopefully some beach/pool time! The Friday night welcome party will be an outdoor event, as will Saturday's ceremony and cocktail hour. Cross your fingers for balmy, dry weather!

Can we bring our kids?

We truly love your kids so much, but our wedding will be an adults only event. If you'd like to bring your children with you on your trip, we would be happy to connect you with resources to arrange childcare during wedding events.

Will there be transportation to the welcome party and wedding?

Transportation to weekend events will be provided from The Cloister and The Inn. Cloister guests will be able to easily walk to the ceremony location, and all guests will be able to walk from ceremony to reception as both are within the main hotel. Please check back for more information regarding transportation, particularly for Friday night's welcome party.

What should I wear?

The wedding ceremony and reception are black tie optional. Gentleman can wear a tuxedo or suit and tie, and ladies can wear gowns, long dresses, or dressy jumpsuits/pantsuits. The welcome party is resort casual. You're welcome to wear sundresses, skirts, slacks, collared polos, tailored shorts, etc., and may want a light jacket or sweater depending on the weather.
